- The qualification is designed to develop counselling skills as well as study skills. Both Counselling and Adult Literacy elements are accredited and Edexcel certification is awarded on successful completion. For learners intending to become practising Counsellors we offer a progression route onto Level 3 in starting in September 2010. The course gives learners; The knowledge, skills and understanding they need as an introduction to counselling skills; Education and training for those who may use counselling skill in their workplace; Opportunities to develop their study skills. Accreditation for their achievement; a nationally recognised Level 2 vocationally specific qualification; The opportunity to progress onto Level 3 Counselling.

Btec L3 Developing Counselling Skills- This course is suitable for those who either work within Mental Health services, voluntary, paid, full or part time, or those who have worked or supported users of mental health services.

This NVQ4 course is suitable for those managers working in a residential care setting for a minimum of 18 months. This is a specialist qualification and you will need to have a high level of communication and written skills.
