  • This course helps adult students to develop the confidence and study skills to progress to university or higher level training. Emphasis for this course is placed on the study skills necessary for higher education. These are developed through a programme of study which will introduce you to the approaches and methods of History, Sociology and English Literature. These are supported by an introduction to basic statistics and information technology. Successful completion of the course leads to the award of a nationally recognised access certificate awarded by the Cambridge Access Validating Agency (CAVA).
  • ''The course is aimed at adults who would like to progress to Higher Education or professional training in, for example, radiography, occupational therapy or nursing. It includes a study of biology, human physiology, environmental science and mathematics. There are also sessions in Information Technology and study skills to help prepare for Higher Education. Successful completion of the course leads to the award of a nationally recognised Access certificate awarded by the Cambridge Access Validating Agency (CAVA).

  • This course helps you gain academic skills to apply for social work or other related degrees. Emphasis is placed on the study skills necessary to undertake the academic training involved for these careers.
