C-Card registrations

The NHS Norfolk Sexual Health Team are coming into college all day next Wednesday 23rd May and are conducting sexual health awareness and C-Card registrations for free contraception.

It’s a drop in service so appointments are not needed and it takes place in the Conference Room.

Adult Learners Week (12th to 18th May 2012)

Next week, the College will be celebrating Adult Learners’ Week with a number of focused activities to promote our new Adult Directory 2012-13 and an open evening filled with practical activities.

 Ø  Friday 11th May 10-4pm in Asda foyer

    Ø  Monday 14th May 10 – 2pm in Asda foyer

    Ø  Wednesday 16th May 10 – 4pm in Great Yarmouth Market place

    Ø  Thursday 17th May from 4- 8pm open evening in College.

Attached is the programme of activities on open evening.

Travel Survey 2012

GYC Travel Survey 2012

Each year the college is required to have staff and students complete the Norfolk County Council travel survey. This year’s survey is now available.

Please go to http://www.worktravelplan.net and enter the login ID ‘college’

The college needs at least 75% of staff and students to complete the survey by the 21st of May.

This is an official survey from the council. Please use appropriate language in free text boxes.

Would you like to write for the Mercury?

A message from the College Chaplain:

The editor of the Gt. Yarmouth Mercury has asked me to invite any Student or Staff member who belongs to the Christian Community to submit an article for the Viewpoint column.

  • Articles should be no longer than 500 words
  • You need to give your name, your full address and brief details of which congregation you belong to
  • Also please include a photo in JPEG format large enough for the Mercury to work with (don’t worry if you don’t have one)
  • Please do not advertise

Independent equality research agency, Babcock Research, is conducting a national survey on behalf of the Skills Funding Agency, to explore the views and experiences of adult learners on religion and belief within the learning environment.

Feeling Creative?

Take part in the 'Express Yourself' Poetry Competition

The competition, run by Young Writers (www.youngwriters.co.uk) is open to students up to the age of 18. The competition is to write a poem on any theme, no longer than 30 lines. Poems must be your own work and you can only enter one poem.

If you would like to enter, please bring your poem to the CLRC Enquiry desk by the 20th of May and fill in an entry form. Winning entries will be published and prizes given to both the student and the college of the top 3 entries.

Learner Satisfaction Survey

Learner Satisfaction Survey

All students are asked to complete the 2011-2012 Learner Satisfaction Survey 2011-2012 before Friday the 25th of May 2012.

The Learner Satisfaction survey is an online survey and can be completed 24 hours a day. It shouldn't take more than twn minutes to complete the survey.
